I go to some of the Kport Mets games but I havent been in a while. I love to watch some good minor league ball and acually see some of them make it to the majors is an added bonus.
Does anyone ever go to the tri-cities and watch some minor league games?
I moved over to Bristol, and literally live on the hill behind the White Sox ball field. Thought about doing a couple games this year, as Pete Rose Jr. is the coach, which is kinda neat.

i used to go and watch the Kpt Mets a few times with a neighbor of mine, but not regularly or anything.
baseball is not my sport anyway, and i only enjoyed it when big name players (rick ankiel, etc..) were playing.
the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Knoxville area, Tenn. Smokies, is a great area for minor league baseball; many big time players have played in their league over there.
All these guys have played for the Smokies over the years:
* Rick Ankiel
* Carmen Cali
* Stephen Drew
* Joe Girardi
* Roy Halladay
* Dan Haren
* Dan Uggla
* David Wells
* Vernon Wells
* Jeff Kent
* Jake Fox
* Orlando Hudson
* Mark Reynolds
* Anthony Reyes
* Kerry Wood
* Miguel Montero
* Yadier Molina
* Jake Fox
* Sam Fuld
* Jeff Samardzija
* Cristian Guzm?n
* Chris Carpenter
* Carlos Delgado
* Shawn Green
* Felipe Lopez
* Jayson Werth
* Casey Blake
* Harold Baines
* Mike Timlin
* Kelvim Escobar
* Ross Ohlendorf
* Alberto Gonzalez
* Kevin Cash
* Gabe Gross
* Reed Johnson
* Dewayne Wise
* Micah Owings
* Sean Gallagher
* Kevin Hart
* Carmen Pignatiello
* Brandon Lyon
* Miguel Montero
* Dustin Nippert
* Tony Pe?a
* Doug Slaten
* Bill Murphy
* Starlin Castro
* Tyler Colvin
bolded are some of the greats that spent time w/ Smokies.
Halladay, Carlos Delgado, Harold Baines, Tony Pena, Chris Carpenter, Uggla, Reynolds, Kent, Vernon Wells, Dan Haren, Joe Girardi are all elite players or were elite players

It's nothing fancy, but if you're a baseball junkie, it's a pretty good, cheap way to get a fix.
Looking for my Darcy, but finding only Wickham. Right now, I'd settle for Bingley.
I have had K-Mets season tickets for four years now, the price is 100 bucks and is a wonderful way to spend a hot summer night. It is not the greatest baseball, but I am a baseball junkie if you want to come to Kingsport I'll buy you a hot dog, and we will spend nine innings talking about football and such.
I'm not a baseball junkie, I couldn't tell ya who is where, unless they're a Baltimore Oriole (die hard, no matter what)... but I love just going to a ballpark, eating a hot dog, and relaxing.
Yeah, the Smokies are really fun to watch.
I've gone and watched the Kpt Mets randomly a few times. But it's been around 3 years since the last time. And even though I'm not a big baseball fan I've enjoyed it and had a fun time.

Hot dog and beer at Camden Yards was $11.00... it was nuts.
But Camden Yards is well worth every penny spent there.
